A brief note on the composer’s designations for “wind ensemble” versus “wind band” – wind band refers to larger ensembles with many part doublings, oftentimes with less complex overall part interdependency, and wind ensemble refers to smaller bands that may be one per part at the very least, oftentimes with more complex, exposed, or thinly orchestrated musical material.
That being said, any of these works can be played by wind bands and wind ensembles both, though some extra work for acoustic and musical balance might be needed for optimum aural effect.
