PROGRAM NOTES

Exodus is a work for string orchestra that focuses the performers’ listening, pacing/conservation of bow, and breathing/phrase-making over long, meditative periods of time – akin to how the moon makes its long, slow, sustained exodus across the night sky. This piece works well for high school and professional string orchestras alike and serves as an excellent expressive choice for any program.
